EL LEGADO

Absalon Caisamo, was born in an island located in one of the most alive places on earth, The Utría Cove. An Acuatic National Natural Park in the coast of the pacific sea of Colombia. He practice freediving since he was a kid and so it was through the majority of his life.

After decades of attempts to make plans and projects of marine conservation he won some battles and lost others, he is now saying goodbye to one of the strongest inner battle, leaving his old vices behind. Now he is re-routing his environmentalist path, Absalon freedives everyday to clean the plastic of the reefs next to his island brought by the pacific currents.

LA RUTA DE LA CUMBIA

Road documentary: The journey of a team of filmmakers, musicians, artists and dancers on board a van from 1994 to find the hidden footprints of the Cumbia around the Latin-American continent. Is a road expedition from Argentina to México around beautiful landscapes with accompaniment of the gaitas, drums and guitars, electric and digital sounds. La Ruta de la Cumbia seek for the pieces that build this rhythm and how the Latin-Americans identify with it.

The Cumbia is one of the most popular rhythms of Latin-America, it's danced and enjoyed from the Patagonia to Tijuana.

KADDUME

Kaddume Is an expedition that recognizes San Basilio de Palenque’s past and future relationships. It’s a view of and from the body, the land they live in and the voice of their female ancestors. The same ones that opened new paths in search of freedom during the XVII century. This rebelion act, the path of their foremothers and their actual path is what build Palenque.

This screendance is a new approach through rhythm and movement to that strength and wisdom of the african female heritage.
